Illinois John Fever is a country blues duo from Iowa City, Iowa. They have been performing together for 15 years with the same 2 founding members, and a changing cast of additional string players over the years.  They have performed at the Deep Blue Festival in Minneapolis in 2008 and 2009, the Deep Blues Festival in Clarksdale, Mississippi in 2018, and 2019, the Iowa Blues Challenge Finals 2007, opened for Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band, Pokey LaFarge, Pieta Brown and Bo Ramsey, T-Model Ford, Alejandro Escovedo, Holly Golightly, The Hooten Hallers, David Zollo and many others. Illinois John Fever performs original songs and traditional American country blues songs from Fred McDowell, Booker White, Blind Willie McTell, RL Burnside, John Jackson, Jimmy Lee Williams, John Fahey, Marvin Fodrell, Cecil Barfield (aka William Robertson), Jake Fussell, James Davis, John Lee Ziegler, Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Boy Fuller, Lucious Curtis and Willie Ford.
